Venture Aviation is a Cirrus Training Center in the Kansas City Metro area.  We offer primary and advanced flight training including Private Pilot and Instrument Ratings in SR20 aircraft as well as transition training for students who are wanting to fly a more technologically advanced aircraft. For current Cirrus owners we also offer re-current training in your airplane with one of our Cirrus qualified instructors. Using our standardized Cirrus training syllabus or your insurance-mandated requirements, your re-current training can be efficiently completed.

CIRRUS TRANSITION TRAINING

For pilots who are already certificated and wish to fly the Cirrus, Venture Aviation utilizes factory designed Transition Training from Cirrus Aircraft as well as a certified Redbird simulator.  Depending on certification level and prior experience, completion of the appropriate Transition Course will qualify that pilot for flight privileges in Cirrus Aircraft with Venture Aviation.

BASIC TRANSITION

The Basic Transition course is designed for VFR only pilots. The course minimum is 6 hours of flight time, ground school and homework. The average completion time is 10 hours but can vary greatly depending on experience level.

ADVANCED TRANSITION

The Advanced Transition course is designed for pilots who hold an instrument rating. The course includes all the Basic Transition course work as well as IFR competency tasks. The minimum completion time is 8 hours of flight time with ground school and home study with a course average of 12 hours of flight time.

AVIONICS DIFFERENCES TRANSITION

The Avionics Differences Transition course is designed for qualified Cirrus pilots who wish to switch from flying one avionics package into the other. Cirrus offers avionics packages from either Avidyne or Garmin. The minimum transition time is 2 hours of flight time plus ground school and home study with a course average of 5 hours.
